Pete Rothman has been a Pennsylvania CPA since 1986. He founded Rothman & Associates, LLC in Newtown Square and built it into a respected practice serving closely held businesses and the families behind them. In August 2026, Rothman & Associates joined forces with Integrated Accounting Solutions.
Pete works directly with clients on tax planning and preparation and serves as a senior technical resource across the firm’s tax practice. His clients span a wide range of industries, and much of his career has been spent guiding families through the transfer of company ownership to second and third generations, where tax planning, timing, and family dynamics all move at once.
He has served as a financial expert witness in the Courts of Common Pleas of Philadelphia and Delaware Counties and in Chester County Domestic Relations.
Pete also brings uncommon depth in Pennsylvania’s fire service. He has served as treasurer for a Volunteer Fire Company along with a Pennsylvania Volunteer Firefighter Relief Association. Both fire companies and relief associations have been represented by Pete on the management and compliance guidelines that govern them throughout Pennsylvania and annual tax filings.
He taught accounting as an adjunct professor in the MBA program at DeSales University and in the undergraduate program at Immaculata University. Before founding Rothman & Associates, he was a founding partner of Rothman Boylston beginning in 1999, and practiced as a sole proprietor before that.
Away from the firm, Pete has spent decades in amateur ice hockey, including service as Vice President of Girls and Women’s Ice Hockey for the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association and Commissioner of the Mid-Atlantic Women’s Hockey Association. He also serves on Girl’s Ice Hockey Council of USA Hockey and the Background Screen Review Committee of USA Hockey.
